I spent a few days at the countryside with my family. I ate a lot because Mum and Sister cooked me good food. When I went there, it reminded me of my childhood with my family and peer friends. Now the village seems quieter than before with fewer younger generation and even birds, wild animal, and fish. I feel pity on mum because she stays alone over there busy with her petty business. How can I pay gratitude to her for I cannot even fulfill her will… hmm

One day my father, uncle, cousin, and I played volleyball near my grandfather and aunt stupa in front of my uncle’s house, I felt warmed as if they were watching our game.

Quiet at night, little insects cried telling me that it will be the end of the world soon…come back home and fishing in the flooding season and planting banana and other fruit trees during the raining season. Hmm, m trying to find the meaning of my life…what I should do to develop myself, family, friends, and village… I cannot help them even I have an opportunity to study in Japan. I feel even poorer when I come back home: poor in everything. I think I am running behind everyone in Cambodia: it’s my losing year ever in my life! I dun know how long I will lose the time over there…

Ashamed as usual with the mess-up so far! I have done lots of shameful things because of the lustful youth… Last night, I dreamed about the collision of the earth with another planet. But good thing is that we have to run through a path to another planet where we all can start our lives all over again. Thus, if only I could go back my life I would be someone else…

This morning I went jogging at the stadium.

As usual, many people mostly the mothers

were over there…NO doubt do they have long-life

expectancy than their husbands who could not wake up

because of the previous night drink. Or do they escape

from their husbands? Many kinds of music were played

for the mothers to dance. It costs around 500 riels if

they want to join any group. A good business ne!

I didn’t bring money with me so I danced or did

exercise at the backyard. It’s quite different from before

because not so many young girls especially at my age

join the group or do exercise. I felt strange again

When I arrive here again, there are some

changes but may be not much. The electricity is

better but more small marts and KTVs. More

telephone companies so the price of phones is

cheaper and we can get access to fast internet

with cheaper price.

Weather: it’s so hot very hot

and cloudy.

I have talked with my friend’s brother

and he told me about how capital market is going

to work and I feel that it’s not really liberalized.

I usually pretend to do something crazy in front of the others in order to see who make scornful eyes and face. Last nite, I have noticed more and more!
